ATLANTA, GA (August 9, 2007) - Freedom Williams and Duane "Spyder D" Hughes announce the start of the official "Atlanta Krunk Mixtape Contest".

Winners will be selected by the two Atlanta Krunk owners, as well as a panel of well known DJ's, including the legendary Kool DJ  Red Alert and Atlanta's own MC Shy D, and XM Satellite Radio's DJ Woody Wood!

Contestants will also get to perform at halftime through out the Krunk home schedule to try and get the crowd and the judges in their favor! All performances are being filmed for a yet to be named reality TV program.

"This season promises to be a very exciting one for our new found fans here in Atlanta", says Spyder D. This is an effort to be as progressive as any team in sports history. To me, music and basketball have always gone together. Certain powers that be, would have you believe otherwise. We'll try to bring a fan friendly musical ambience to our games without ruffling too many feathers, or stepping on too many toes. The main thing is that our fans enjoy their experience at a Krunk game. Bottom line!"

Majority owner Freedom Williams, speaking from the airport on his way to perform in Brazil said, "...this is what we do! This is who we are! Sports and music are entertainment. We are going to entertain our fans, so that they will become loyal. Kenny Anderson and his team and staff will entertain one way, Spyder, myself and our staff will entertain another way! More bang for your buck...".
